Portrait of Dr. Wilhelm Ferenc

I graduated from the University of Pécs Medical School in 1989 with ‘summa cum laude’ honors. I began my career at the Pécs Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic. As a young intern, I became involved in the clinic’s IVF program in 1991. I passed my specialization exam in 1993. In 2000, I successfully obtained the B ultrasound certification from the Hungarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I wrote my PhD dissertation at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Pécs. My dissertation focused on the postmenopausal endometrium. After my clinical years, I continued to provide care for infertile patients at the Kaáli Institute’s Pécs and Kaposvár branches. Since 2017, I have been performing assisted reproduction treatments at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Somogy County Kaposi Mór Teaching Hospital. I have been working at the Dunamenti REK Kaposvár branch since 2023.

During my clinical years, I gained extensive experience, which allowed me to master both the theoretical and practical foundations of in vitro fertilization. I had the opportunity to further expand my knowledge through international study visits. I also gained experience in testing new pharmaceutical treatments used in infertility therapy. I aim to apply this clinical experience and comprehensive approach in the diagnosis and treatment of my patients.
